Men and Women: Who is Better at Credit Card Deals?

It is a well-known fact that from early childhood, women and men are brought up in a different way. Psychologists say that people copy their same-sex parent's lifestyle, and it is also revealed in their financial habits. We do not pay attention to the fact, that we use our parents' experience while making credit card deals. According to the latest American researchers, credit card consumers tend to make progress in saving money. But the fact is that women appear to be not so good at saving money as men. You may wonder what the reason for this phenomenon may be.

As a matter of fact, one of the explanations lies in nature. Women are initially considered to be fond of shopping and consequently spend a lot on it. And it's no wonder, as since the creation of our Earth women's duty has been bringing up their children and keeping their houses spick and span. Certainly, such duties require a great deal of efforts, including financial ones.

As far as credit cards are concerned, women give preference to rewards credit cards as they enable them to spend money and receive cash backs and other rewards. And it's no doubt very attractive to make purchases and enjoy all the benefits a reward plastic can give.

Men have a more serious approach to the matter. They prefer to invest their money in real estate or cars. Their aim is to derive as much profit from their purchase as possible. Males are not apt to hesitate; they are resolute and firm. For instance, when men decide to choose a credit card, they don't spend much time on it in comparison with women.

The main purpose of saving is to have a stock of money for some urgent needs. If we have a sum of money in reserve, we may be more a less sure of the future. Females appear to think about the present more than the future. They spend money on everyday needs, i.e. on food and household. But when women start saving, it turns out to be quite difficult for them.

Another reason for women's incapability to save money lies in their social position. It's not at all easy to combine making a career and being a good mother and wife. As a result, most women earn less than men but spend more, and therefore they become unable to save.

Besides, they spend a few years on maternity leave and it can't but have some influence on their career and consequently on their credit cards deals. Men, in their turn, consider themselves to be providers of their families and are aimed at finding a high-paid job or set up their own business.

However for justice' sake, it must be mentioned that financial reports say that women are better at organizing their credit card deals, they check their credit score and reports and pay off their debts on time. In contrast to men, who are risky and most likely to fall into debts.

Actually, the difference in savings is not so considerable. Sooner or later most of us acquire a family and have a shared budget that enables people to compromise and plan expenses together.
